There comes an age when laughter’s warning proves prophetic,
Where wisdom lies chained and insight marked heretic.
Now the darkness swallows truth, reality ignored—
Lest wakeful minds disturb the docile horde.
Be cautious lest your wit, too sharply drawn,
Disturb the slumbering masses bred to yawn.
An insight uttered is a weapon thrown—
The clever found and labeled, shamed and stoned.
Judgment outlawed, ignorance crowned as king,
Truth choked and silenced for comfort’s offering.
Propaganda scrapes all meaning from the mind,
To cradle fools and leave the wise confined.
The banners rise: “Suppress the thinking voice!
Let dullness rule—let none but fools rejoice.”
Logic in shackles, genius cast aside—
While ignorance ascends, swollen with pride.
An irony so thick it shrouds the sun at noon:
The brightest muted by the most dim-witted room.
We swallow words and watch integrity lost—
For imbeciles are gods to whom we dare not cross.
So mourn the quest for truth we once pursued,
Where even thought itself is hunted—caged, subdued.
Eternal dusk, where bright ones stand alone—
Enduring fools whose praise they can’t disown.
When silence falls, fools stake their claim without shame,
Their hands on levers of power none dare reclaim.
Though reason’s warnings echo—ignored, forestalled—
We’re captives to their blindness, dooming us all.
For in this blind parade, we drift and fall—
The end, not by design—forgotten by all.
Brighter lights extinguished at ignorance’s call;
A requiem for thought—the death of all.
